Project Manager – Progetto Integrato Hinda (PIH)
Country: Congo – Brazzavile Closing Date: 12/03/2017 Duty Station: Congo Brazzaville – Distretto di Hinda, Dipartimento del Kouilou Period: 1 year Starting Date: 01/04/2017
Main objective: The project manager must coordinate and manage the project, collecting useful information for the good implementation of the project activities.
Reporting to: Country Representative.
Specific duties: • Ensuring the good implementation of the project activities; • Develop a work plan and adapt it to the needs of the context; • Ensure the supervision, monitoring and evaluation of the activities; • Being a regular presence on the ground; • Coordinate and supervise the local staff; • Taking care of the recruitment of staff dedicated to the project in collaboration with the country representative; • Ensure the elaboration of the financial reports; • Organize coordination meetings with the stakeholders; • Participate in monthly meetings with the donor and local Institutions; • Respect AVSI code of conduct; • Validate purchases related to the implementation of activities; • Ensure compliance with AVSI administrative procedures; • Supervise the expenses related to the project; • Monitor the financial situation of the project; • Be responsible for training; • To act as a moderator between the members of the project team; • Be responsible for all goods used for the project implementation; • Ensure the confidentiality of information obtained in the execution of assigned tasks.
Essential Requirement: • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in economic studies, and social, urban or international development; • One to three years of experience working in developing countries as a project manager; • Ability to coordination and management of international cooperation project; • Excellent knowledge of the French language.
