Context and motivation
The idea of this project was formed in the context of European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. As local youth, we should engage in this fight against poverty and social exclusion. In this project, we aim to bring together local youngsters of Susehri, a district of Sivas province, and their peers in EU countries and to emphasize that everybody including local youth can contribute in this fight against poverty and social exclusion. Beside, this project will improve intercultural dialogue and sensitivity among the participants from different cultures and countries.
Objective
Through this project, we aim to provide a space for youngsters in order to share their experiences, ideas and techniques in dealing with the fight against poverty and social exclusion.
Advance Planning Visit (APV)
There will be and Advance Planning Visit
(APV) for group leaders between 4-5 July 2010.
Target Group
Youngsters of non-profit organizations or associations and any local, regional or national public bodies from EU 27 member states and Program countries. Five participants from each group will be accepted.
Funding
70% of travel costs, 100% of food and lodging costs and exceptional costs such as actual costs covering visa, visa-related costs and vaccination costs, as well as costs related to participants with fewer opportunities/special needs will be covered.
Application
If you want to participate to the project, please fill the attached partnership agreement form and send it via fax as signed and stamped until 20th January 2010. Please, don’t forget to send travel expenses and the original partnership agreement (PartIII) via post.
