Summary:
The project Alert - loss of biodiversity, impoverishment of the planet!
Water Activities - Non-formal tools is a training program to be
implemented by Diver Lanhoso that is one of the most important Adventure park in Europe, in the heart of this beautiful land (20 minutes from Braga and linked with the National Peneda-Gêres Park), between 18th at 25th of September 2010, for 25 young people from 5 countries. The training is an educational program for learning about specific issues; this case will be the Biodiversity and aquatic activities, to improve the participants' skills, knowledge and attitudes through outdoor activities.The theme of the training is education through outdoor activities (Scavenger Hunt and guidance; Hiking in the National Peneda-Gêres Park; nature camp) and mainly through activities related with water (Kayak, Canyoning, Rafting) as tools to improve non formal learning, in a context of reflection about environmental issues (International Year of Biodiversity); Combating Social Exclusion; intercultural dimension and european participation. The aim of the project is to motivate and to empower participants to use specific methods in the field of experiential education tools (non-formal tools) and outdoor activities in order to promote youth involvement and active participation, encouraging them to develop follow-up projects in the Youth in Action framework.
