Adalya Youth would like to invite you in our Action 3.1 project proposal named "ROMANI MUSIC IN EUROPE'This project will be a Multilateral Youth in Action- Action 3.1 We expect 4 participants from Roman Community perfoming Romani Music and dance and 1 leader (no age limit) could be non Roma people from each organization. Below you will find a summary and aims of the project . There is a strong tradition of the Romani Music in the central and eastern Europe. Original Romani Folksongs are rare. This particular folk music is mainly vocal and consists of slow plaintive songs and fast melodies which may be accompanied by dancing. Most Romani music is based on the folk music of the countries where the Romani went through or settled. Local music is adopted and performed – usually instrumental – and, slowly, it is transformed into Romani styles, which are usually more complex than the original styles. Our project is for encouraging the young people of the partners’ districts to develop the Romani Music by the Roma Youngs and be them aware of the differences and similarities of the Romani music effected by the Local music. Our project will let the young people to be aware of the musical instruments using in Romani music which vary from country/ district to country/ district. The project is against intolerance and racism on the participants’ countries. The difficulties faced by Roma Young people in these countries are having a strong attention. The project is a respond to the racism experienced by Roma Young People in EU and the neighboring countries. The activities in the project aim to develop social inclusion and intercultural learning of Roma young people from different cultural, local and religious backgrounds. As far as the development and implementation of projects are concerned, this means that young people participating in the project should become aware of its intercultural dimension as a tool for social inclusion. Intercultural working methods will be used to enable project participants to participate on an equal basis.
