We are a group who are interested with mosaic art and as a group we want to learn this art from orphans in Gaziantep/Turkey. This project will be realised by 2 groups which have 8 young and 2 leader participants (bilateral).
Motivation for the Project: we are a group of young people, gender balanced and 18-25 years old, who have come together from different religions of Turkey. We are interested in the art of mosaic and we want to learn it. As a Group, we believe that we can do good things with children orphaned and win them to the community. We are looking for partners from all “YOUTH IN ACTION” countries.
Aim of the Project: the host institution and the sending young people will be trained about the art of mosaic in a workshop by the orphans and/or street children. Thus, while both groups are informed about a branch of art, orphans will gain their self confidence teaching them something different by including the Project.
Targets of the Project:
-both groups learning and training about the art of mosaic from the street children or orphans;
-organizing cultural interaction nights between the groups;
- organizing tours and presentations which will inform about Gaziantep and its neighbours;
- making presentations to the groups about mosaic, its history and its genius;
- during this training, doing a mosaic workshop to a park in the city centre about the European Youth and its opening after the workshop;
- at this opening exhibition, presenting the other products of arts to the public which are made during the training.
Costs: 70% of travel costs, 100% of food and lodging costs and exceptional costs such as actual costs covering visa, visa-related costs and vaccination costs, as well as costs related to participants with fewer opportunities/ special needs will be covered.
