Preparatory visit date: 15 of August 2010.
Partners: Romania + 6 Programme Countries (EU countries + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey).
Participants: 2 girls (18-25 years old) + 2 boys (18-25 years old) + 1 leader (no age restriction) from each partner group.
We will organise a complex and self-driven project: we will shoot short-movies, we will discuss about United Nations Global Objectives and we will do it in one of the most wild and beautiful places in Romania (and we mean it!). LECUPO - League for Education, Culture and Sports is organizing a multilateral youth exchange project called „Think globally, act locally”, to be held 01-08 September 2010 in Romania among 6 partner countries.
We will learn about Millennium Development Goals and we also will shoot 6 movie-clips.
The project objectives are to educate and to raise awareness to youth (18-25 years old – 4participants + 1leader for each national group) on Global Challenge Issues as hunger, poverty, universal education, AIDS, environmental sustainability, maternal health, gender equality and global partnerships and to involve them even further in their home-countries.
The activities will be divided between workshops and filming several
short-movie clips directed by the participants (the short-movies will be based on one of the Millennium Development Goals).
Topic: Millennium Development Goals of United Nations.
Costs: We will cover food, accommodation, activities mand 70% of travel costs.
Activities: workshops about Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations, planning and editing short-movies created by the participants presentation and debates about Global Goals.
