Place:Subotica, Serbia.
Theme and the overall aim of the training course:
Active participation and European citizenship of young people with fewer opportunities (social, cultural, geographical and economical disadvantages) within international youth exchanges.
Overall aim:
Main aim is to train youth workers, youth leaders for developing their competences to give information, motivate and keep involved young people with fewer opportunities in international youth projects from SEE countries and EU member states. To develop understandings of active participation of young people with fewer opportunities and to develop different ways to ensure their impact on local community with using non formal education and intercultural learning methods.
Objectives:
- To develop information giving and spreading skills about 3.1 as international youth exchanges, to young people with fewer opportunities;
- To develop different ways to motivate and involve young people with fewer opportunities into these projects;
- To develop methods and techniques to keep young people with fewer opportunities involved in international projects;
- To raise awareness how young people with fewer opportunities can become active citizen of local community in support of international youth projects;
- To raise awareness how young people with fewer opportunities can feel to be European citizen in support of international youth projects;
- To understand how can help non formal and informal learning and intercultural learning to achieve active participation and European citizenship.
The methodology of the training course:
Some of the examples of methods that are going to be used in this training course:
- individual and group activities;
- work on practical examples in a small groups;
- thematic workshops;
- role plays;
- theoretical inputs;
- discussions on follow – up and activities after this training course.
Who can participate in the training course?
- Aged over 18
- Youth workers from SEE and EU , directly working with young people with fewer opportunities, having experience of running at least one youth project in local or international level;
- Youth leaders SEE and EU, having experience of running at least one youth project in local or international level;
- Young people with fewer opportunities, having experience of participating at least one youth project in local or international level;
- Ready to take part in the whole training course;
- Have organizational support for further activities with young people with fewer opportunities;
- To be able to communicate English.
Eligible countries:
Albania, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Romania, Serbia
Financial conditions:
The food and accommodation will be provided and paid by the organizers. 70% of travels costs will be reimbursed either by bank transfer after the course or at the end of the course in cash (in Euros €). It may be that money from European Commission will be late; in that case, as mentioned, you will get your reimbursement after the course by bank transfer (be ready for that).
There is 20EUR participation fee!
