We're a group called “ANADOLU” from Ankara, the capital city of Turkey.
Project. This project is open for only Eu countries.
Theme: This project aims at creating the youth consciousness about their own history, own culture or a little attention related with own social values. Being aware with history and culture or being able to describe to anyone in a necessity, have to be a big goal by the youth.
Dates: 14-18 July 2010 in IZMIR
5-9 July 2010 in partner’s country (your country).
Participants: (4) from partner countries will come to IZMIR in 14-18 July 2010 and 70% travel cost and 100% cost of accommodation will be covered by usWe( 6 Turkish people) will come to partner’s (your) country at 5-9 July 2010.
Important:
The host partner organization will cover accommodation and food of 6 Turkish people in their country because of a deficiency in our project financing In this meeting, the host partner organization will present their presentations, workshops, short trips about their own history, own culture etc.
Profile of participants:
- 4;
- Interested in history;
- Participants should have been actively working with young people as a professionalor voluntary youth worker;
- Participants should have experience in organizing youth projects;
- Participants should have an active attitude;
- Participants should have ideas for future project;
- Participants should have options to set new projects;
- Age Limitation: 18-30.
Programme:
One goal could be knowledge according to the other civilizations. By this way, we will provide universality, a mutual world citizenship.
In this Project Anatolian history and culture will be hold on:
1. The First Age (Çorum Alacahöyük);
2. Roman and Byzantine (Izmir ve yöresi- Istanbul);
3. Seljuks (Konya);
4. Ottomans (Bursa-Istanbul);
5. Atatürk and The Republic of Turkey (Ankara).
These topics will be examined by Turkish youngsters in March 2010. Also, they will do some workshops, fieldworks, investigation trips.Then, Turkish youngsters will prepare a report about their experiences on these 5 issues..
Then, the participants from EU Countries will come to Turkey for 5 days. Our youngsters’ experiences on these 5 issues about Anatolian history and culture will be told to the participants of partners. From Turkey, 6 participants will participate to our partner countries as a resolution meeting for 5 days.
Methods: Experimental learning, workshops, exchange of experiences, discussions, group works, lectures by the academicians (formal and non-formal methods).
