We are planning to apply for a partnership building activity for the 1st September deadline. Please find the details below:
International Office at Balikesir University (INOBALUN) is planning to perform an Action 4.3 Partnership Building Activity titled "Let's D.I.Y. (Developing Intercultural Youth communities)!" in which we would like to share our ideas and experiences with other organizations to make a sustainable partnerships for future cooperation in the field of active citizenship and youth policies. The event will take place between 4th - 9th January 2011 in Balikesir, Turkey. Our organization would like to take an active role in exchanging experiences concerning the differences in the implementation of Youth in Action Program by different European and non European countries. At the same time, we consider a matter of interest to build sustainable and long-term cooperation with NGOs, pubic bodies and any other organization whose target group is youngsters or has some connections with youth projects. The main topics that will be discussed during the activities will be future youth exchange and EVS projects. Besides this, our organization aims to actively promote the Youth sector and Youth Programme in the region of Balikesir, which has a lack of investment and the local people have a very limited contact with other cultures and nationalities. Due to this, we consider that the Youth sector in Balikesir is neither active nor developed enough and for this reason such partnership building events would greatly contribute to the development of the city in terms of youth dynamics. Finally throughout this exchange we plan to compose future youth exchanges projects and youth events with the partner organizations for upcoming deadlines. Among our objectives we would like to include the following: developing new Youth Exchange projects, discussing future EVS, as well as other Youth in Action projects, exchanging information in terms of seminars, study visit and others.
Each group consists of 3 participants.
70% of travel costs, 100% of accommodation, food, local transport, visa will be covered by Turkish National Agency. 30% of the travel costs will be covered by the participants.
