Participant profile:
18-25 (no less then 16 participants in total) + experienced youth workers and career guiders (no more than 8 participants in total)
All youth leaders and young people from NGOs with practice or aspirations to implement Career Guidance activities are welcome to take part. Participation of NGOs with experienced youth workers and career guiders is encouraged.

We, NGO CDER (Centre for Social and Economic Development) from Jagodina, Serbia will apply for the upcoming Action 3.1 Cooperation with the Neighbouring Partner Countries of the European Union programme: “Build your career!”
Brief summary of the project:
The general training topic is reducing youth unemployment. The specific training topic is career guidance and counselling (CGC) as the most important educational process in career making – enabling youth to choose a profession, i.e. vocational/high school and/or university. Twenty four participants (of whom minimum 16 young people + experienced youth workers and career guiders) from 8 NGOs, will be motivated, educated and encouraged, through joint work, to promote and provide career guidance and counselling in their communities – young participants will become the so called peer career counsellors, while experienced career guiders will advance the existing methods and develop new methods for working with youth. Education and employment of youth will also cover topics common European values, cultural diversity, migrations and mobility of youth, young people with fewer opportunities, seen from CGC perspective… Training course will consist of several activity sets: Small Career Academy, visit to the City of Niš, activities aimed at team building, relaxation and motivation for learning, cultural activities, creation of educational posters, NGO fair. Planned activities will encourage capacity-building and innovation among promoters, as well as exchange of experience, expertise and good practice. In addition, the project will motivate participating NGOs to build partnerships and jointly create quality projects for youth.
Methodology:
Trainings will be based on methods and techniques of informal learning – workshops, role-playing, discussion sessions, online learning, work visits, competitive games, icebreakers, warm up activities, energizers, … – which encourage creativity and active participation.
Technical conditions:
Participants of the project will be reimbursed 70% of their travel expenses. Accommodation and food during the whole period of the project will be covered 100%.There is no participation fee.
