Summary:
Partnership building seminar will bring together 24 youth workers from rural areas or small towns to develop new partnerships with the focus on youth exchanges.
Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders
For participants from: Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Ireland, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Switzerland
Group size: 24.
Details: Partnership building seminar will bring together 12 youth workers and leaders from Estonia and 12 from following countries: Romania, Croatia, Malta, Cyprus, Slovakia, Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway and Portugal. Activities will last for 5 days and take place in Valga county in South-Estonia.
The aim of partnership building activity is:
• Contact making with future partners and developing new partnerships;
• Giving participants knowledge of Youth in Action programme with the focus on youth exchanges and quality of youth exchanges;
• Developing new project ideas with partners from contact making to mapping down the programme of the exchange;
• Developing new projects in Youth in Action framework with focus on youth (un)employment and entrepreneurship;
• Getting to know Youthpass as a tool, process and certificate for conscious learning in youth exchange;
• Develop international cooperation in youth field which involves Estonian youth from rural areas/small towns and youth from similar areas of participating countries.
Profile of participants:
• Over 18 years old (no upper age limit);
• Able to work in English;
• Not experienced in international youth work;
• Working with youth in rural areas or small towns;
• Looking partners for international cooperation to develop youth projects;
• Have not organized themselves youth exchanges, but wish to organize one in near future.
Costs: Partnership building activity is funded by Estonian national agency of Youth in Action programme. Training costs, accommodation, food and insurance are covered 100 %. Participants will be reimbursed 70 % of travel costs according to Youth in Action programme rules.
