Details: Krzyzowa: all equally different! The Kreisau-Initiative e.V. (KI) together with their partners have been organising projects for youngsters with and without disabilities since 2005. The European Union, the PNWM and private foundations provide financial support for the project, which has gained international recognition. It is vital for the network to open up international dialog and include marginalized target groups, such as youngsters with disabilities or youngsters from difficult social backgrounds. Our projects like Fair Life, Fachaustausch (profession exchange) and Brückenschlag (Building Bridges) are using new and innovative ways to promote non-formal education and encourage the inclusivity of marginalized people. We believe inclusive youth exchanges should be developed on a permanent basis. For that reason we are organising training sessions and seminars for teachers, special education teachers, youth workers and trainers to set up a platform to share experiences and encourage a common learning process on an international level. The Kreisau training model “Krzyzowa: all equally different!” wants to suggest ideas and show ways how an international exchange program, that includes disadvantaged youth groups, can work. The training program contains useful aspects for planning and preparing such exchanges, and provides extensive advise on methods and approaches that may be used in the context of inclusive education. It will also provide insight into the structure of projects already taken place in Krzyzowa. Moreover, the training serves to extend the international network in the field of inclusive education and provides contacts for future projects.
