Summary:
The aim of the training course is to contribute to the quality and impact of Youth Exchanges organised by / with partners from South East Europe.
Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders.
For participants from: South-East Europe.
Group size: 20 participants.
Details:
The training course addresses the continuous need to increase the understanding of the basic conceptual framework of the Youth in Action Programme, build capacities in preparation and management of Youth Exchanges and emphasize stable partnerships and involvement of young people in the entire process. The training course addresses youth workers and youth leaders exclusively from South East Europe.
Objectives:
• To deepen the participants’ understanding of the conceptual framework of the Youth in Action Programme, in particular active participation and citizenship;
• To explore the potential of a Youth Exchange as a complementary tool for active participation and civic engagement;
• To increase the understanding of quality partnership and roles of partners in planning, implementation and evaluation of a Youth Exchange;
• To identify methods and approaches aiming to facilitate active participation of young people during a Youth Exchange.
The training course targets youth workers and youth leaders from South East Europe, who are:
• Interested in better understanding the conceptual framework of the Youth in Action Programme, in particular active participation and citizenship;
• Motivated to organise a Youth Exchange in the future with increased quality and impact;
• Preferably having some prior experience in Youth Exchanges (as a coordinator, group leader or participant);
• Entitled to plan and execute future projects on behalf of his / her organisation;
• 18 years or older.
Costs:
The board and lodging will be fully covered by the SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre. The participants' travel costs will as well be reimbursed, in condition that there is a prior agreement on the estimated costs.
