Introduction

Apurimac Onlus is a non-profit non-governmental organization for development cooperation, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Apurimac Onlus is present in Latin America and Africa. In Nigeria.
Apurimac Onlus has been working in Nigeria since 2004, in partnership with the Province of Saint Augustine of Nigeria to improve the lives of people.
As a development cooperation organization, Apurimac is determined to make positive impact; to bring hope where there is a common good.
Apurimac is also involved in peacebuilding and promotion of inter-religious harmony through our advocacy and sensitization programs, believing that the acceptance of ethnic and religious pluralism is a vital tool for peace in our communities.
The project State and non-state actors cooperation in consolidating an architecture of peace in Plateau State – phase 2 is designed to achieve the Overall Goal: “To contribute to a peace process in Plateau State by consolidating support in strengthening architecture of peace and mechanisms of conflict resolution”.
In order to achieve this goal, the action targets 3 objectives, which are interrelated and will lead to transformation of the target groups and beneficiaries and the targeted context as whole. The objectives are:

Objective 1: Educational institutions become pro-active actors in peace-building strategies, through a programme, which involves all the actors of the educational system in Plateau State.
Objective 2: The level of resilience to violence and conflict within communities and the level of reconciliation between communities is increased, through both a strategy of networking among individuals affected by violence; and capacity building on trauma relief.
Objective 3: The access to both high quality vocational training and jobs is enhanced through an improved offer of skills and micro-finance strategy.

Main Responsibilities and tasks
Project’s financial and accountancy monitoring:

Support the Apurimac Onlus implementing local partners in the projects financial management and cost efficiency balance: definition of the project budget, budget follow up and expenditure projection.
Support the Apurimac Onlus implementing local partners in managing the project accountancy:
Assure with monthly meetings in order to verify that the partner is implementing properly both the Apurimac Onlus procedures and donors procedures.
Ensure that the financial reports prepared by the partners are properly compiled and all the attached documents are in line with both the Apurimac Onlus financial norms and donors procedures.
Ensure a progressive assessment of the partner in terms of financial capability and autonomy.
draft a training program to enable the partner to acquire more confidence in terms of reporting and budgeting.

Office financial management:
• To implement all financial office procedures: assure the cash forecast, the management of the cash flow (in/out), the relationships with the bank, the financial authorisation of the expenditures;
• To participate to the financial management of the office in collaboration with the Country Representative;
• To acquire the basic knowledge of the local Financials and Fiscal rules and regulation with the support of the Local Charter Accountant in order to ensure the respect of the mandatory deadlines;
• Ensure assistance to the CR in the LO structural changes and procedures with the relevant authority.

Manage the accounting and administrative document filing:
Ensure the monthly closing: check all invoices; transmit all documents before the 10th of the following month to the Apurimac Onlus headquarters in Rome; codify the invoices and enter them in the Apurimac Onlus format; reconcile balances in the physical cash book and in the accounts; File accounting documents.

Support the Country Representative in the human resources and logistics management:
• To define, under the supervision of the Country Representative, and the Financial Officer in HQ, the human resource policy of the Apurimac Onlus Office according both to the local law and the Apurimac Onlus standards and define an internal staff regulation.
